ABOUT ME
A current and experienced teacher at your service
I am a fully qualified and experienced primary school teacher. Currently, I am an Assistant Principal for a BCP school. Previously, I have had experience working with the Jurassic Maths Hub and several years leading maths in Dorset schools.

As I am in current school practice, I am DBS checked and fully up to date with new methods, resources and curriculum/test standards.
I make sure learning is fun and tailored to suit your child. I am passionate and confident in my methods to help all different types of learners. Maths has to be taught clearly, step by step in depth through a variety of activities.

After a free initial meet and assessment of your child's needs, if you decide to go ahead and book me, tuition is available for £50 per hour session.
IN DEPTH MATHS TEACHINGÂ KNOWLEDGE
Many private tutors are students or retired teachers, but with me you get a current and experienced senior leader. I have taught all age groups in Primary education. I am now an Assistant Principal in the local area. I am a member of the Jurassic White Rose maths hub (a movement to improve maths teaching in schools).
NOT JUST PENCIL AND PAPER!
Children learn better when they have experienced a range of practical, visual and fun activities! The sessions are varied in approach. I use a range of activities towards building written maths confidence.

It is important that everyone involved feels comfortable and knows what to expect prior to any tuition. At no cost, I will pop round to introduce myself and get to know your child. This will involve a short assessment of your child's maths needs.
